Accountant - accounts payable (Miami, FL)

Stonegate Ashton Inspection Services provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Miami, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. Training and certification are paid for. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around field inspections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to test reports, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with test reports. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Miami. • We reply to every applicant.
