Accountant - accounts payable (Miami, FL)

Amberfield Oak Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Miami working with agencies and riders. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of about 676 people based in Miami. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to accessibility audits, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with accessibility audits.
