Accountant - accounts payable (Miami, FL)

Highbridge River Press Group prints books, catalogues and packaging from its Miami plant, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. Many of us have been here for ten years or more. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around proofing against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to paper stock, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Miami. • We reply to every applicant.
