Accountant - accounts payable (Louisville, KY)

Highbridge Willow Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the Louisville area. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. We follow the school calendar and we like people who like learning. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to family communication, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around learning materials against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Louisville. • We reply to every applicant.
