Accountant - accounts payable (Louisville, KY)

Clearpath Glen Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Louisville area, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of about 613 people based in Louisville. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with customer tickets. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Louisville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
