Accountant - accounts payable (Louisville, KY)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Drift Hospitality and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 16 people based in Louisville. What you will do • Track costs around supplier orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to food costs, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with food costs. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Louisville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
