Accountant - accounts payable (Little Rock, AR)

Lumen Markets is a Little Rock retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 98 people based in Little Rock. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to pricing, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with pricing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Little Rock. • We reply to every applicant.
