Accountant - accounts payable (Little Rock, AR)

Greenridge Lakeside Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Little Rock design routes and schedules, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service alerts, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around fare systems against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with service alerts. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
