Accountant - accounts payable (Little Rock, AR)

Nova Bridge Freight Group is a Little Rock logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around claims against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to carrier rates, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Little Rock, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
