Accountant - accounts payable (Las Vegas, NV)

Northwind Kestrel Housing provides affordable homes and support services around Las Vegas, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to repair requests, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around resident services against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with repair requests. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Las Vegas, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
