Accountant - accounts payable (Las Vegas, NV)

Stonegate Lantern Construction Group builds commercial and industrial projects around Las Vegas. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. Site safety is non-negotiable. What you will do • Track costs around safety records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to project schedules, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Las Vegas. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
