Accountant - accounts payable (Las Vegas, NV)

We are growing our team at Greenridge Juniper Banking Services Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. We keep decisions close to customers and expect people to explain things plainly. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to account openings, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with account openings. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Las Vegas. • We reply to every applicant.
