Accountant - accounts payable (Las Vegas, NV)

Ironwood Vista Press is a printer and publisher in Las Vegas serving local and national clients, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around paper stock against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with bindery work. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Las Vegas. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
