Accountant - accounts payable (Las Vegas, NV)

Cedar Amber Medical Group is a Las Vegas company producing monitoring and surgical equipment. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. Engineers and clinicians sit at the same table. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around training materials against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with production lots. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Las Vegas. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
