Accountant - accounts payable (Jacksonville, FL)

Westbrook Willow Early Learning operates neighbourhood childcare around Jacksonville, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around family communication against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with enrolment. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Jacksonville. • We reply to every applicant.
