Accountant - accounts payable (Jacksonville, FL)

Harborlight Haven Pharma is a pharmaceutical company in Jacksonville producing generic and specialty treatments. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of about 575 people based in Jacksonville. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to batch records, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around quality documentation against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
