Accountant - accounts payable (Indianapolis, IN)

Greenridge Field Medical is a Indianapolis company producing monitoring and surgical equipment. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of about 584 people based in Indianapolis. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around clinical evaluations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to training materials, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with training materials. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Indianapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
