Accountant - accounts payable (Houston, TX)

Stonegate Quill Facilities is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for supply orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around customer sites against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with supply orders. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Houston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
