Accountant - accounts payable (Honolulu, HI)

Highbridge Orchard Care Services supports families and individuals in Honolulu with personal care and coordination, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. Teams support each other, especially on hard days. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to licensing, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with licensing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Honolulu. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
