Accountant - accounts payable (Fresno, CA)

Silverline Willow Manufacturing is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for customer orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We value people who work safely and speak up. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer orders, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with customer orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Fresno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
