Accountant - accounts payable (Fresno, CA)

Nova Haven Medical builds devices used by hospitals and clinics, with its team based in Fresno. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 49 people based in Fresno. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around clinical evaluations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory submissions, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Fresno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
