Accountant - accounts payable (Fresno, CA)

Redstone Cross Facilities Group looks after properties across the Fresno region. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of about 852 people based in Fresno. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to cleaning schedules, and clear open items. • Track costs around contractor visits against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with cleaning schedules. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Fresno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
