Accountant - accounts payable (Fort Worth, TX)

Greenridge Summit Construction is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for project schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 689 people based in Fort Worth. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around change orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to project schedules, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Fort Worth. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
