Accountant - accounts payable (El Paso, TX)

Greenridge Oak Environmental Services serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in El Paso. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. Safety briefings happen every morning. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to fleet maintenance, and clear open items. • Track costs around recycling loads against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with fleet maintenance. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in El Paso. • We reply to every applicant.
