Accountant - accounts payable (El Paso, TX)

Cedar Meadow Markets is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for pricing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We like people who know our customers by name. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around shrink and waste against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with pricing. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in El Paso. • We reply to every applicant.
