Accountant - accounts payable (Denver, CO)

We are growing our team at Bright Vista Manufacturing and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around customer orders against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Denver, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
