Accountant - accounts payable (Dallas, TX)

Foxglove Kestrel Pharma develops and makes medicines in Dallas. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around regulatory filings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to batch records, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Dallas. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
