Accountant - accounts payable (Dallas, TX)

Silverline Cedar Facilities cleans and maintains buildings for schools, offices and hospitals around Dallas. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. Clear communication between supervisors and crews matters. What you will do • Track costs around customer sites against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Dallas. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
