Accountant - accounts payable (Dallas, TX)

Foxglove Keystone Environmental Services Partners serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Dallas. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. We take pride in clean streets. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to recycling loads, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with recycling loads. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Dallas. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
