Accountant - accounts payable (Dallas, TX)

Amberfield Lakeside Telecom is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for field visits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to field visits, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around customer tickets against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with field visits. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Dallas. • We reply to every applicant.
