Accountant - accounts payable (Dallas, TX)

Bright West Environmental Services Group serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Dallas, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. Early starts and steady work; we look after our drivers. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to landfill records, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with landfill records. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Dallas, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
