Accountant - accounts payable (Dallas, TX)

Foxglove Yarrow Legal Group is a Dallas practice with attorneys, paralegals and client-service staff. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. Confidentiality and accuracy are taken very seriously. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to intake forms, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with intake forms. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Dallas, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
