Accountant - accounts payable (Dallas, TX)

Foxglove Clear Telecom is a telecommunications provider in Dallas focused on reliable home and business connections, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 16 people based in Dallas. What you will do • Track costs around billing accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to network equipment, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with network equipment. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Dallas, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
