Accountant - accounts payable (Columbus, OH)

Stonegate Rowan Facilities looks after properties across the Columbus region. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. Our crews keep other people's buildings running and we treat them well. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around contractor visits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to work orders, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Columbus. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
