Accountant - accounts payable (Colorado Springs, CO)

Stonegate Maple Financial serves customers across Colorado Springs with accounts, loans and payments, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. Teams collaborate across risk, service and technology. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around loan applications against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with vendor spend. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Colorado Springs. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
