Accountant - accounts payable (Colorado Springs, CO)

Lumen Ridge Medical Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for regulatory submissions, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Documentation is part of the craft. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around clinical evaluations against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with regulatory submissions.
