Accountant - accounts payable (Colorado Springs, CO)

Greenridge Vista Financial Group is a financial-services company in Colorado Springs, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. Teams collaborate across risk, service and technology. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around loan applications against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory reports, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with regulatory reports. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Colorado Springs. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
