Accountant - accounts payable (Colorado Springs, CO)

Redstone Meadow Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Colorado Springs. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. We follow the school calendar and we like people who like learning. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around family communication against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to school calendars, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with school calendars. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Colorado Springs. • We reply to every applicant.
