Accountant - accounts payable (Cleveland, OH)

Lumen Pine Housing provides affordable homes and support services around Cleveland, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. Collaboration with local agencies is constant. What you will do • Track costs around lease compliance against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with maintenance stores. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Cleveland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
