Accountant - accounts payable (Cincinnati, OH)

Westbrook River Staffing places workers with employers around Cincinnati, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of about 477 people based in Cincinnati. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around onboarding against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to timekeeping, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with timekeeping. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
