Accountant - accounts payable (Cincinnati, OH)

Summit Vale Manufacturing makes precision components in Cincinnati, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lines, and clear open items. • Track costs around customer orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with production lines. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Cincinnati. • We reply to every applicant.
