Accountant - accounts payable (Cincinnati, OH)

Clearpath North Early Learning Group runs childcare centres in Cincinnati caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Cincinnati. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around family communication against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Cincinnati. • We reply to every applicant.
