Accountant - accounts payable (Charlotte, NC)

Stonegate River Financial Partners serves customers across Charlotte with accounts, loans and payments, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Charlotte. What you will do • Track costs around vendor spend against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to payment disputes, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Charlotte. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
