Accountant - accounts payable (Charlotte, NC)

Lumen Glen Facilities Group looks after properties across the Charlotte region. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. Our crews keep other people's buildings running and we treat them well. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer sites, and clear open items. • Track costs around contractor visits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with customer sites. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Charlotte. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
