Accountant - accounts payable (Charlotte, NC)

Silverline Granite Staffing connects candidates and employers across the Charlotte region, and we need an Accountant to lead our accounts payable. Recruiters here keep in touch with people long after placement. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around timekeeping against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to onboarding, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with onboarding. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Charlotte. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
