Accountant - accounts payable (Boise, ID)

Lumen Ridge Medical Group is a Boise company producing monitoring and surgical equipment. We are hiring an Accountant to take on accounts payable. Documentation is part of the craft. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around training materials against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory submissions, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with regulatory submissions. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Boise, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
