Accountant - accounts payable (Boise, ID)

Ironwood Harbor Farms is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for harvest schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Boise. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with harvest schedules. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Boise. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
