Accountant - accounts payable (Baltimore, MD)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Ridge Medical Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. Documentation is part of the craft. What you will do • Track costs around device records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory submissions, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with regulatory submissions. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Baltimore. • We reply to every applicant.
