Accountant - accounts payable (Atlanta, GA)

Cedar Yarrow Inspection Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for test reports, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Technicians travel and report carefully. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to test reports, and clear open items. • Track costs around client sites against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with test reports. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Atlanta. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
