Accountant - accounts payable (Atlanta, GA)

Cedar Granite Financial is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for regulatory reports, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 351 people based in Atlanta. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around account servicing against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with regulatory reports. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Atlanta, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
